What is
IDD Hackathon?
IDD Hackathon is a nationwide hackathon organized by IDD Startup Incubator, We Care Centre and Business Innovation and Incubation Centre of MG University. The hackathon aims at testing and developing the problem-solving skills of college students, professionals, entrepreneurs etc. The competition will provide an avenue for participants to test their passion for innovation, problem-solving and design thinking skills. Winners of the event will be awarded with prizes worth 1.5 lakhs, followed by mentorship and prototype development support.
PROGRAM GOALS:
- Create insightful solutions to problems that differently-abled people face today.
- Give the public a glimpse of what this sector has to offer.
- Exploration of different technologies that startups use by differently-abled.
- Income generation for differently-abled people with the option of involvement of family members and training would be given to people for the same.
- Bring in life to ideas that can help physically challenged people.
- Empowerment of the society’s weakest sections.
- Provide incubation assistance to help differently abled people.
